1st day of school

Today was back to school.

Jamie is a a Senior, her last year of High School,

Andrew is in 9th grade, his last year of Junior High.

This week-end the Young Women and Young Men went on a combined camp out. They went to the west desert and did some shooting.

Molly goes back to school

Friday August 20th Molly and her Dad loaded up the car and I took her down to Snow College to start another year.

Molly is living in Snow Gardens again this year but in a different apartment with different roommates.

When we got to Ephraim Molly had to go to a meeting so I didn't get any pictures of her, just the signs.

It has been great having Molly home this summer. She worked with me all summer so we got to spend lots of time together.

We love you Molly and will miss you!

Camping

Life doesn't get much better than camping in the mountains, good friends, reading, playing games (with snacks) and enjoying s'mores every night.

Last week we went camping up American Fork canyon at Granite Flats.

Summer Family Home Eveings

We decided before summer ended we had better start enjoying it so the last several weeks we have gone up American Fork canyon for Family Home Evening with the Johnsons and had a cook out.

. . . and of course played games.

It is great to have such good friends!!

Burrastons Ponds

Our annual trip to Burraston Ponds.

Burraston Ponds isn't a pretty place but the kids and some of the adults have great fun in the water and the rest of the adults enjoy relaxing, visiting and taking pictures. (I actually remembered my camera. These pictures are a combinations of some I took and some Teri Sue took.)

Zita goes home

Today we had to say good-bye to Zita.

She loved her time here in America. She got to see many friends and do lots of fun things.

We will miss you Zita. We enjoyed having you stay with us and getting to know you.

Scott's job

Scott has a new job at ADP in Salt Lake. He started on August 2. He is in customer service helping four clients in Minnesota with their employee benefits. He is still in training but likes what he will be doing.

Sam's new car!!

Sam finally found him a car. He loves it. It sure makes transportation easier at our house.
(Yes, he is trying to grow a beard.)

Molly's summer project

Molly decided she wanted a comforter for her bedroom this fall when she went to college. When she couldn't find anything she liked she decided to make one. (This was the middle of July.) With the help of her friend Whitney and her mom who makes quilts she got the fabric and started cutting and sewing. She had a picture in her head of what she wanted the finished project to look like.

(Molly is very creative and can envision what something will look like when it is completed.)

She spent many hours at the sewing machine.

She completed the top in time to take it to Idaho for my family's annual quilting day, the first week-end in August.

We decided this was a generational quilt since Grandma Alleman and Aunt Peggy helped tie it and Grandma Szabo bound it for her.

Temple Trip

We made it to the Logan temple.

This temple is special to me since it is the temple where I received my endowments before my mission and the temple where Scott and I were married.

Where I am from in Idaho is 50 miles north of Logan.

Relief Society Presidency

Since August 2005 when we were released as a Relief Society presidency we have been getting together once a month with our families for Family Home Evening.

This is us in August of 2002.

How do we look?

We may have not changed a whole lot but a lot has changed in our lives in 5 years.

I am grateful to have served with these remarkable women and to still be friends.

Trek

July29-31 our Stake youth went on Trek to Martin's Cove.

It is a very hard experience but one that builds your testimony.

Jamie and Andrew were able to go together this year.
