Strawberry Jam

I used to always make freezer jam just because that is what I grew up with and it is what I like. My kids weren't eating very much jam so I stopped making it until last year. I got some strawberries and made jam. My kids LOVED it, so it didn't last very long. Their favorite is having it on pancakes or french toast with cool whip. Yesterday, thanks to Stephanie Harbican and her mother I got three cases of strawberries. We ate one fresh and made the other two into jam. I asked everyone who liked to eat jam to help make it. They said, "Not I," like in the little red hen. I said, "Then I'll make it myself and you won't get any. Jamie said, "No, we are the little chicks who get to help you eat it." They did all pitch in and help.

Scott mashed the berries.

Jamie added all the other ingredients to the jam while Sam read to her Peter Pan. (She had to have it read by today for her English class.)

Andrew's contribution was to take out the trash.

The finished product.

Lacrosse Tournament

Friday night and most of the day Saturday we spent in Sandy at a lacrosse tournament for Andrew. He is on the Utah County all-star team. (I don't know where they got the maroon Bruins jerseys. I can cheer for red and black and even blue but maroon is a little hard to cheer for.) They played a total of six games. Friday night they played three games and lost all three. They were just getting warmed up. They won all three of their games on Saturday and they played some of the same teams from Friday. Andrew is following in the footsteps of Sam and plays defense. He loves it. It is fun to watch him play.

Mollys Spring Break

Molly, for her spring break, watched Kai and Kennet while Amy was on her trip.

She had great fun and I think the boys did too.

MORP

A couple of weeks ago Jamie went to MORP. The theme was "Beauty & the Geek". Their group decided to all go as geeks. They played at the park with marshmallows guns, ate at Wendy's and then went to the dance.

A Job!! A Job!! Scott got a job!!

Scott got a new job. He starts on Thursday as a commission analyst at Novell. This is different than what he has been doing but he is excited for the challenge of something new.

Month 3 of our family goal

Since the kids had the 5th off of school we decided to do two temples. On Friday we went to the Jordan River temple and on Saturday we went to the Manti temple.
The Johnsons have decided to join us on our quest. We are glad to have them along.

Month 2 of our family goal

This month we went to the Salt Lake temple. The kids did baptisms while we went through a session. A good experience. Makes me grateful for the 5 minute drive to our temple with no parking hassles.

The Johnsons went with us. We are grateful for good friends to share these experiences with.

Thanks to Teri Sue for always remembering her camera or we wouldn't even have any pictures since we all forgot our cameras.
