Vernal Temple

Yesterday we went to the Vernal Temple. We had to get up really early to make it there for our 8:00 am appointment but we made it.

You can't go to Vernal without seeing a few dinosaurs.

More Senior pictures

Jamie Senior pictures

Jamie didn't want the "traditional" Senior pictures so this summer Molly took a bunch of different pictures of her. They turned out cute.
Here is just a sample.

Tending

Tara and Mike (my niece and her husband) had a Military Ball to attend in Provo Friday night so we got to tend their four girls. It has been a while since we have had little ones at out house. They were a lot of fun.

Andrew, Sam, Me and Andrea
Whitney, Katie, Autumn
Sam and Andrew had fun chasing them around outside.
Sam even taught them how to catch and throw a lacrosse ball.
(I didn't get pictures of that.)
The pictures I took of Katie and Andrew were all blurry.
I need a little more practice taking pictures and holding a baby.
After dinner we did quieter things.

Even Scott got in on the action.
The evening wouldn't be complete without a bowl of ice cream.
Hope you come back and play again!!
We loved having you!!

My mom's surgery

After the family dinner on Saturday I stayed in Idaho to take my mom to Pocatello on Monday for surgery on her hand. She had carpal tunnel and some nerve damage. The surgery went well and the doctor hopes she didn't wait too long and that it will correct her problem. Her hand has been going numb especially when she drives.
I left her in the capable hands of her friend Beth who came up from Arizona. They have been friends since childhood. My mom is a registered nurse so she isn't always the best patient. She thinks she can still do things she shouldn't be doing.
I love you mom, take care of yourself.

Sam's birthday

Today Sam celebrated his 22nd birthday.

Scott fixed him one of his favorite meals, barbecued pork ribs and all the trimmings. For dessert Dad's chocolate cake and chocolate pudding.

Happy Birthday Sam!
We love you!!
Thanks Jamie for the pictures.

Homecoming

This year Jamie went to Homecoming with Josh Williamson.

They have been friends since elementary.

The day date was a scavenger hunt at the mall.

The group was kids from the ward that have a fun time hanging out together.

Dinner was at the Wirtz house.

Family Dinner

My mom and dad go to Arizona for the winter so we are not ever together on Thanksgiving so started having a family dinner before they go. We each take turns being in charge and every one brings something. The kids have fun playing together and the adult enjoy visiting.
Some years we have it in American Fork and some years in Idaho. (depending on who is in charge) This year it was in Idaho.
I am thankful for my family, for their love and support.

Me enjoying the babies.

My Dad and Mom

My brother enjoying being Grandpa, and Scott

The three muskateers,
Hayden, Kennett, Kai

Delaine and her family

the kids playing a game (get wrapped in tape, roll in the candy and see how much sticks to you)
This year none of my children were able to come. Andrew had a lacrosse game, Sam stayed to get him to his game, Jamie had homecoming, and Molly was in Ephraim.

Provo River Falls

On the way home from the cabin we stopped at Provo River Falls
and
a nudist ranch.
Andrew, Jamie, McKay & Bryan

Andrew & McKay

They braved going in the freezing cold water.

Even Teri Sue got in the water. She's a brave soul.

First aid for the wounded.
Walking barefoot on sharp rocks can do that.
Scott didn't know we were going to hike up to the falls, he thought we were just going to take a few pictures so he went back to the car. I didn't want him to feel left out.
The nudist ranch.
Trust Teri Sue to be the only one peeking.
Thanks for a fun week-end!!
